My favorite zen pastime is trying new teas, so below I rated some of the fun new ones I’ve been trying as of late! I always find that tea is a more zen alternative to coffee but still leaves you feeling energized, which is why I love it so much. Enjoy!
Starbucks Moon Drink
This one definitely gave me lunar vibes! It reminded me of moon dust and is amazing if you’re a matcha, chai, or moon lover. All I can say is that I am obsessed with all three, so naturally, I was gonna love this one. To order this drink, ask your barista for a grande iced matcha latte with two pumps of chai.
Chai Tea Latte
A chai tea latte is arguably my favorite morning drink! It happens to be one of Starbucks’ most popular teas too. If you are excited by the flavors of fall, you’ll love it. It’s got a lovely blend of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and vanilla. I’ve been making it myself recently by pouring equal parts of the boxed TAZO Chai Tea concentrate and my milk of choice over ice (which is the same recipe as Starbucks by the way). If you want a richer, more luxurious texture, you can add a pinch of heavy whipping cream, and if you want a thinner texture add a touch of water. My favorite way to drink it is cold, but it’s delicious hot too!
TAZO Zen Tea
This green tea is a blend of bright lemongrass and crisp spearmint. The reason why I love this tea so much is because the lemongrass is so subtle! I’m not a fan of lemon flavored foods and such, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hint of lemongrass was the perfect touch. I am, however, a huge fan of mint teas so this definitely hit the spot in that department.
TAZO Chamomile Tea
This tea is definitely a good one to wind down for a night of self care. It gives a calming Valentine’s Day vibe too because it’s got a lovely blend of chamomile, rose petals, and soothing herbs. If you aren’t big on rose scents, then I would definitely skip out on this one. It was wonderful, but the rose was definitely more of a strong flavor.
Bigelow Ginger Green Tea
I am obsessed with this one! The ginger is reminiscent of Japanese culture which is something that I have always loved experiencing. This is by far my favorite afternoon tea to drink. It gives you a peaceful boost of energy, and the best part is that it has probiotics too!
Cherry and Watermelon Loaded Tea
I recently came upon something called a loaded tea. If you don’t like the taste of tea, the good news is that these energy teas don’t even taste like one! There’s a place called Geaux Nutrition at NSU that sells teas with a blend of Herbalife tea concentrate and fun different flavors. My favorite energy tea flavor is cherry and watermelon. If you’re looking for a summer vibe-inducing drink, this is definitely the way to go! You can find different loaded tea shops everywhere that sell them too.
